This week, we have a 13-fight card in Boise, Idaho. It’s headlined by Junior Dos Santos vs Blagoy Ivanov, that will be making his UFC debut. DraftKings has smaller competitions with this card since it is only a Fight Night card using lesser known name, but there’s still well over $100k to be won. I will be pursuing my fair share of the money and I trust you guys will be too. Listed below are a few plays I like this weekend and my fade of the week.
Cash Game play of this week — Alexander Volkanovski ($9,200)
I believe Volkanovski is the»safest» drama on this card along with his -300 gaming lineup would agree with me. That’s where I will be starting my lineup this week and I’ll figure the rest out from there. Volkanovski averages 116.5 DK points during his first four UFC fights so he has a ton of upside as well. He could possible score over two other winners with this particular card combined. I really do think he’s in drama for GPPs too for this reason, but he will likely be the most peculiar owned fighter on the card and we don’t care about possession as much in money games. I’d suggest paying for the costly cost in your money games and then look for at least 3 others wins you are confident in.
GPP drama of the week — Junior Dos Santos ($8,700)
JDS ought to be the way better striker in this struggle and I think this is where the fight will take place. He can get KO’d at the opening minutes of the battle and score 0 points, but that is what makes him a GPP play in lieu of a money game play. With both of these Heavyweights, we should likely see a KO inside the 25-minues and that I think the former champion, JDS, will be the one to receive it. He has great takedown defense so he should be able to maintain this fight on the feet where he’ll have a 4-inch achieve advantage to use.
Underdog play of the week — Niko Price ($7,900)
Niko is going to be my underdog drama of this week. The odds indicate that the fight ought to be fairly close and there is a great chance that he uses his wrestling to obtain the advantage. In 5 fights that he hasn’t seen a decision however, and there is a chance it stays that way if he gets Brown to the floor. Niko has some slick entrances in his arsenal and a great deal of heart. On the feet, Brown probably has the benefit with his achieve, but Cost does have some sneaky power too, which can’t be overlooked. All in all, I like this as a GPP play.
Fade of the week — Alejandro Perez ($9,100)
Perez is the 2nd most expensive fighter on this card and he’s only $100 cheaper than Volkanovski. In my opinion, Perez will require a end to really have a shot at paying that expensive salary and I do not wish to invest in that, personally. He has never landed more than one takedown in a struggle and Wineland has excellent takedown defense, therefore we should see this battle take place on the feet. I believe Perez should be the person to get his hands raised in the conclusion but I think it’s going to be via decision. If that’s the case then he could score ~60 points in a win, and at $9.1k that is not going to win anybody a tournament. I’ll be complete fading Perez this week and hoping he does not get the finish and he is my official evaporate of this week.
